Little Monster Mash at the Longview Public Library

Monstrous Fun for the Whole Family!

Hear little monster stories, play little monster games! Make little monster crafts, eat little monster snacks! Watch the movie about monsters Mike and Sulley at University! Get little monster face painting and have a little monster BookFace portrait taken!

It’s all happening at the Longview Public Library Little Monster Mash on Tuesday, October 29, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. There will be prizes for costumes (monstrous or not!)
  • Stories include: Jan Pienkowski’s Little Monsters, Go Away Big Green Monster! by Ed Emberley, Sean Taylor’s When a Monster is Born, Monsters Don’t Eat Broccoli by Barabara Jean Hicks, and The scariest monster in the world by Lee Weatherly. 
  • Activities include: a monster “BookFace” photo booth, face painting, a spider web maypole, a screening of the 110 min., rated G, 2013 monster movie, and a balloon monster bash.
  • Games include: Where the Wild Things Are board game, Feed the Monster (beanbags), Musical Monsters and pin the body part on the monster.
  • Crafts include: easy monster masks and popcorn monster hands.
  • Snacks include: monster finger jello, marshmallow monsters and broccoli

All Little Monsters and their families are welcome, with activities appropriate for ages 2 – 12. Teens interested in volunteering to lead various activities should call 360.442.5323 by October 25th and talk to Jan E.V.W. Hanson, Youth Services Librarian.
