Early Childhood Fall Events @ Longview Public Library

Take a Ride on the Reading Railroad, as we look forward to the return of the Shay Locomotive to the Library campus. All weekly programs run between September 23 and November 8. Registration recommended for Wednesday – Friday weekly programs.

September 21, Saturday, 3-4:30 p.m. Autumn Moon Festival. Moon stories! Moon snacks! Moon lantern painting! Moon games! A family fun kick-off for fall!
Every Monday & Tuesday, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Fun Hours. Children 5 & younger with an adult are invited to drop in for these unstructured playdates in a learning-rich pre-literacy environment. Board books, foam blocks, sensory play and more!
Every Wednesday, 10:30-11 a.m. Mother Goose Time. Babies 0-18 months and the grownups who love them will enjoy joining Family Literacy Coordinator Jennifer King for this bouncy, bubbly, book time!
Every Thursday, 10:30-11 a.m. Preschool Storytime. Three year olds and up can get on board with Youth Services Librarian Jan E.V.W. Hanson with stories, songs and silliness.
Every Friday, 10:30-11 a.m. Toddler Time. Nursery rhymes and interactive stories encourage emergent literacy for 18-35 month olds and their grownups.
October 29, Tuesdays, 6-7:30 p.m. Little Monster Night. Hear little monster stories!! Play little monster games! Watch monsters go to university! Eat a little monster food! Make little monsters! Costume prizes, too!!
November 16, Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. International Games Day @ your library. Fun for the whole family with all kinds of games for all ages!
December 17, Tuesday, 6-7 p.m. Festive Fireplace Fun.
