TREE INVENTORY FOR
CITY OF LONGVIEW

CONTRACT SERVICES: The City of Longview Urban Forestry Department is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to provide comprehensive tree inventory services to update the current tree inventory for the City of Longview.
Longview Urban Forestry invites your firm to submit a proposal in accordance with this Request for Proposal (RFP). Your response to this request will be evaluated to determine the qualifications of your firm. Proposals must adhere to the format and content of this RFP. Proposals will not be evaluated unless all parts requested are submitted in a complete package. The information set forth is the minimum required in order to qualify for consideration. The successful proposer shall be required to enter into a contractual agreement based on the specifications outlined in this RFP.
Sealed proposals will be received until 3:00 PM on January 31, 2018
at the City of Longview Parks and Recreation Department located 2920 Douglas Street, Longview, WA 98632. Emailed and facsimile proposals will not be accepted. Proposals will not be accepted after the stated proposal submittal deadline. Late proposals will be returned to the proposer unopened.
Request for Proposal (RFP) documents may be obtained at Longview Parks and Recreation, 2920 Douglas Street, Longview, Washington. You may also find the RFP documents located on The City of Longview’s website; www.mylongview.com under the “Your Government” tab then RFP Postings.
It is the responsibility of the proposer to include all requirements in their proposal. Longview Urban Forestry accepts no responsibility or liability and will provide no accommodation to proposers who fail to meet those basic proposal requirements. Emphasis should be on completeness and clarity of content.
Before submitting a proposal, proposers are encouraged to thoroughly examine The City of Longview’s Urban Forest as well as the current tree inventory. A pre-proposal meeting is not being scheduled during this RFP process. Questions must be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. All questions must include: Contractor’s name, e-mail, telephone number, address and reference to the specific section of the RFP in question. All questions shall be received at least 48 hours prior to the closing date and time. Questions submitted after that time shall not be addressed.
Longview Urban Forestry reserves the right:
1. to reject any or all proposals;
2. to waive minor irregularities in any proposal;
3. to request clarification of information submitted;
4. to request additional information;
5. to award any contract to the next most qualified contractor if the successful contractor does not execute a contract within seven (7) days after the award of proposal.
Longview Urban Forestry will not be responsible for any costs incurred by the proposers in preparing, submitting or presenting its response to the RFP. The proposers will be required to comply with all Federal, State, County, and City laws, regulations, codes and policy with regards to licenses, permits and operations to do business.
