The Longview Library Needs YOU!
Posted Date: 5/29/2018
The Longview Public Library is currently seeking adults and teens, 14 years and up, to join our band of volunteers to help run the “Libraries Rock” summer reading challenge.

As a volunteer, you’ll get to share your love of books and reading by registering kids and teens for the challenge, awarding prizes to Rock Star readers, and helping with a variety of summer events. Have fun, meet new people, and support our community by keeping at bay the summer slide in learning that can hit even the most hard-working students during their vacation months. Teens: summer volunteering is also a great way to get a head start on your community service hours! You can choose the schedule that works best for you.

Come to one of our special summer reading volunteer training sessions on Saturday, June 9, at 10 a.m., or Tuesday, June 12, at 6 p.m. Sign up in person at the lower checkout desk or call us at 360.442.5301. This orientation is for both new and current Longview Library volunteers.
