Lake Sacajawea Bird Walk
Posted Date: 12/11/2013
All ages of birding enthusiasts from beginning through advanced are invited to Lake Sacajawea Park on December 14, January 11, and/or February 8. We will meet at the Hemlock Plaza near the playground on the Kessler Blvd. side at 8:00 am. Lake Sacajawea Park has a species list of 130 birds and is featured on the Great Washington Birding Trail! Longview Recreation is joining Willapa Hills Audubon Society to provide these free family bird walks, led by an experienced birder, and member of the Audubon Society. Please dress for the weather and bring binoculars for better viewing although the walk leader will have a spotting scope. The walk will last about 1 to 1 ½ hours but you can leave at any time. For more information please call Longview Recreation at 442-5400.
