Downtown Parking Permits available to purchase

Parking permits will be available for purchase in the City’s three busiest parking lots:

Merk Lot (Lot 86): located on 14th Avenue between Broadway Street and Hudson Street
Johnson Lot (Lot 87): located on 14th Avenue and Hemlock Street
Penny’s Lot (Lot 85): located at 14th Avenue and Maple Street 

Quarterly parking permits are available for purchase now at the Longview Police Department located at 1351 Hudson Street for $120/quarter and are effective October 1, 2013. The Police Department is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm and is closed for lunch between 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. By purchasing a parking permit, citizens are allowed to park in excess of the 3-hour time limit.

Regulations for timed parking in the remaining city lots will not be impacted by these latest changes. Ample long-term (72 hour) FREE parking (in unmarked spaces) is available at the following locations:

• Korten’s Lot (Lot 81): located on 12th Avenue between Maple Street & Broadway Street
• Commerce Plaza Lot (Lot 80): located on 12th Avenue & Hudson Street
• Schneider Lot (Lot 79E): located on 12th Avenue between Hudson Street & Hemlock Street
• Bus Transfer Lot (Lot 78E): located on 12th Avenue & Hemlock Street
• Senior Lot (Lot 78N): located on Commerce Avenue mid-block between Hemlock St & Florida St
• Consolidated Lot (Lot 78S): located on 12th Avenue & Florida Street

The police department will continue to sell permits in the 15th & Broadway lot ($120/quarter) and the Paragon lot ($60/quarter) located at 15th Avenue and Hudson Street. Citizens must have a parking permit to park in either of these lots.
