Longview Police will redirect traffic after the Go 4th Festival fireworks display
Posted Date: 6/26/2014
Due to the large volume of vehicular and pedestrian traffic leaving the Lake Sacajawea Park area at the conclusion of the Go 4th Festival fireworks, traffic will be directed by the Longview Police Department.

Vehicular traffic attempting to enter Nichols Boulevard or Kessler Boulevard between Washington Way and Louisiana will be redirected toward Ocean Beach Hwy, Tennant Way/15th Ave, or the Civic Center. The Washington Way Bridge will be closed to westbound vehicular traffic to alleviate congestion to the intersection of Washington Way/Nichols Boulevard and 26th Avenue.

Pedestrian traffic exiting the lake area (specifically Martin’s Dock area) are encouraged to use crosswalks and major intersections which will have extra police staffing. Due to the large number of people leaving the lake bank area, the Hemlock Foot bridge will be one way toward Nichols Boulevard until the lake bank area is substantially cleared.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the central lake area during this time and plan for alternate routes.
