November 1 City Council Meeting in brief
• Held a public hearing on the proposed revenue sources for the 2019 General Fund budget.
• Discussed the August 9, 2018 city council decision approving vacation of a portion of the alley right of way between 7th and 8th Avenues, from Hudson Street to Hemlock Street. Directed the city attorney to prepare a draft policy allowing the city council to allocate a portion of right of way vacation fees to be applied toward utility relocation for development projects that serve a public purpose or goal, such as affordable housing.
• Awarded water treatment chemical purchase bids.
• Directed staff to schedule a workshop to discuss discontinuing fluoride addition of the city’s drinking water.
