The 2018 property tax payment deadline is quickly approaching. The Cowlitz County Treasurer is reminding property owners that they have until Wednesday October 31st to pay the second half of their 2018 property taxes.
The County Treasurer’s Office is open 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday for processing payments in person. Tax payments must be postmarked by October 31st, 2018 and mailed to the Cowlitz County Treasurer at 207 N 4th Ave., Kelso, WA 98626. Tax payments can be made by these methods:
1) By mail if postmarked no later than October 31st, 2018, taxpayers should include their tax statement and write the property tax account number on their check or money order. Cash should not be sent through the mail.
2) In person at the Treasurer’s Office, Cowlitz County Administrative Building-Room 202, 207 N 4th Ave., Kelso, WA 98626, Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
3) Log on to www.co.cowlitz.wa.us/treasurer for on-line payments. To pay taxes by phone call 1-855-857-3624, be sure to listen carefully to the instructions.
If payment is made by credit or debit card, there will be a nominal fee charged for this service by the Credit Card processing company.
