The purpose of the Consolidated Diking Improvement District (CDID) #1 Advisory Committee is to advise the Board of Supervisors of items, issues, planning, and financing of the District as outlined and/or approved by the Board of Supervisors. The membership is comprised of nine committee positions that are held by local government officials, representatives from local businesses, and community members who have a vested interest in, or the potential to be affected by District operations. Three committee members are appointed by the City Manager of the City of Longview.
Due to a resignation, one position is vacant and applications are now being accepted. Interested applicants must be City of Longview residents (live within the city limits). Appointments are for indefinite successive terms of one year. Committee meetings, held once a month, provide a forum for discussions regarding the effectiveness of District Operations and Management and the impacts to the local community at large.
Those interested in serving on this committee, should go to the City of Longview Boards and Commissions webpage to apply at http://www.mylongview.com/index.aspx?page=780
First review of applications will take place the week of April 23, 2018.
