Longview Public Library invites you to welcome spring with Cochise Anderson from the Chickasaw and Choctaw Nations of Oklahoma, a local artist celebrating his 28th year as Native American Cultural Arts Educator, professional actor, youth theater director, musician, and spoken word artist.

Cochise brings original spoken word mixed with original and traditional music and contemporary stories to life. He celebrates the beauty and illuminates the struggle of his Native American culture, bringing an inclusive Native point of view that empowers his audience. He has developed innovative and engaging programs for children and adults and his acting credits include The Cosby Show, Saturday Night Live, Homicide: Life on the Streets, and the critically acclaimed feature film, Daughters of the Dust.

Join us in this celebration of spring with Cochise Anderson. Tell him, “Halito, Chookma ikana~ma!!” (Greetings, It is Good all my friends!!)
